Common Questions
How long does a bathroom take?
Two to four weeks for a full renovation. Tile and waterproofing have curing times that cannot be rushed, and anyone promising you a finished bathroom in a weekend is skipping one of them.
My grout keeps cracking. Why?
Usually movement underneath, from tile set on an unsuitable substrate or a floor that flexes. Regrouting treats the symptom. We will look at what is under the tile before recommending anything.
Can you move the toilet or shower?
Usually, though it depends on the floor structure and where the drain lines run. On a slab it is more involved than on a joisted floor, and we price it accordingly rather than quoting a flat rate.
Can you make a bathroom accessible for aging in place?
Yes. Curbless showers, blocking behind the walls for grab bars, wider doorways and comfort-height fixtures. Worth doing during a remodel you are already paying for rather than retrofitting later.
