Common Questions
Composite or wood?
Composite costs more up front and almost nothing after that. Cedar and treated lumber cost less to build and need staining or sealing every few years. We will price both so the decision is yours on real numbers, not a preference we pushed.
How long does a deck take to build?
Most residential decks run one to two weeks of on-site work once materials are in hand. Larger multi-level builds and anything requiring engineered drawings take longer, and we tell you that at estimate time rather than mid-project.
Do I need a permit?
Usually yes for a deck, and often for retaining walls above a certain height. We handle the application and inspections as part of the job. [TODO: confirm which municipalities you pull permits in.]
Can you work with my HOA?
Yes. We regularly submit plans and material specifications for board approval and build to community standards. It adds time to the front of the schedule, not the back.
